Now with iBackupBot 5.2.2 or later, you can merge SMS\/iMessage messages with attachments very easily.<br \/>\nThe source backup and target backup can made by different iOS version, source backup can made by iOS 3 ~ iOS9, target backup can made by iOS 6 ~ iOS 9.<\/p>\n<p>The steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. Backup your old iPhone, if you already had a backup of old iPhone, you can skip this step.\n<\/li>\n<li>2. Backup your new iPhone.\n<\/li>\n<p>You can do these 2 steps with iTunes: just connect iPhone to computer and run iTunes, select the iPhone in iTunes and click <strong>Back Up Now<\/strong> button. You can also do these 2 steps with iBackupBot.<\/p>\n<p>Then, before start below steps, we recommend you make a copy of the backup of your new iPhone, so if you no satisfied with result, you can go back to this backup: just launch iBackupBot, select the backup of your new iPhone, then select <strong>File<\/strong> -> <strong>Duplicate<\/strong> from main menu.<\/p>\n<li>3. Expand the backup of new iPhone in iBackupBot, select <strong>User Information Manager<\/strong>, then switch to Messages tab in right side window, and click the <strong>Import<\/strong> button, if you have more than one other backups, iBackupBot will prompt you select a backup to import messages from:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-backup.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-backup.jpg\" alt=\"merge-message-backup\" width=\"381\" height=\"276\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-842\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-backup.jpg 381w, https:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-backup-300x217.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 381px) 100vw, 381px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>4. iBackupBot will pop up a message select window, you can select the messages and attachments that you want import here, you can use sort, multiple select, context menu here:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-select.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-select.jpg\" alt=\"merge-message-select\" width=\"693\" height=\"549\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-843\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-select.jpg 693w, https:\/\/www.icopybot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/merge-message-select-300x237.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No need warry about duplicate messages, iBackupBot will filter out duplicate messages automatically when importing.<br \/>\nAfter all messages and attachments that you want merge are checked, click OK button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>5. Now we can prepare to restore the backup to iPhone: First, please turn off <strong>Find My iPhone<\/strong> on your new iPhone, just tap <strong>Settings<\/strong> > <strong>iCloud<\/strong>, then tap to turn off <strong>Find My iPhone<\/strong>, you can turn it on after restore.<br \/>\nSecond, please close the <strong>Message<\/strong> App on iPhone, <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/ht5137\" title=\"Force close app on iPhone\">about how to close an App please read this<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>6.
