DRM free! Now we can move songs from iPod to computer and share on other iPods

Apple start selling digital songs without digital rights management (DRM, Apple’s DRM system is called FairPlay) from its iTunes store.

DRM was designed to prevent fans from illegally sharing songs on file-sharing services. But it also prevented us from moving our own songs between iPods and other MP3 players.

Now, this limit is broken, wen can moving songs from an iPod to computer or another iPods and play with any device at anywhere, The songs that we bought truly belong to us!

DRM-free upgrades to your existing iTunes collection are now available via iTunes Plus, Apple’s program for DRM-free music tracks featuring high quality 256 kbps AAC encoding.

Apple also announced a new pricing structure for iTunes, which will start from 1 April 2009. The iTunes service up till now has sold songs for 99 cents each, and the new pricing has three tiers: $0.69, $0.99, and $1.29.
